Die CDEC academy hilft Lehrkräften dabei, Geographie und Informatik zu verbinden und stellt dafür eigens entwickelte Lernmodule zur Verfügung. Der zweite CDEC Hackathon am 11. und 12. Oktober in Berlin Neukölln lieferte dabei wichtige Erkenntnisse zur erfolgreichen Einbindung der Module in den Unterricht.
Jonas Kittner has published a new study together with colleagues in the Quarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society. The study investigates the nocturnal advection of urban heat, i.e., the transport of air heated within the city into the surrounding areas, and uses a newly developed approach in which data from thousands of crowd weather stations are utilized.
As of October 1, Christopher Kyba has taken up a new post as Heisenberg Professor for Nighttime Lights Remote Sensing. The working group will advance European capabilities in this expanding subfield of remote sensing through both research and teaching activities.
In der Fakultät für Geographie und Geowissenschaften der RUB ist im Institut für Geographie zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine Universitätsprofessur W2 [m/w/d] für Humangeographie mit dem Schwerpunkt Governance urbaner und regionaler Transformationsprozesse zu besetzen.
Die Sprechstunden am 23.09., 30.09. und 07.10. bei Herrn Edler (Studienfachberatung Geographie) entfallen. Die nächste Sprechstunde findet am 14.10. (15-17 Uhr in IA 6/75) statt.
