For physical geography, including climatology, soil science, hydrology, and landscape ecology, the laboratory for experimental work has a variety of modern analytical methods with a wide spectrum. In the field of teaching, the laboratory provides services for all departments of physical geography. Collaborations exist with the Institute of Geology, Mineralogy, and Geophysics. Regular laboratory practicals are held as part of soil science events for the soil science department.
