As of October 2011, Prof. Jan Cermak is the new chair of climatology. Succeeding Prof. Fleer, he took over teaching activities in Bachelor and Master courses. His research focuses on the role of clouds and aerosols in the climate system, techniques and applications of atmospheric remote sensing, and interactions between society and the environment.
