Thermal Comfort Bike: Mobile Measurement Bicycle for Urban Climate Analysis

As part of the Data2Resilience project, the Bochum Urban Climate Lab has converted a cargo bike into a mobile measurement station. In the future, the measurement bike will collect climate data to capture thermal comfort in cities and analyze urban heat stress.

The Data2Resilience project aims to support climate-resilient cities through data-driven analyses. The measurement bike enables the mobile collection of temperature and climate data to investigate the effects of urban climate in detail.

In the coming weeks, the first deployment of the measurement bike will take place. Prior to this, some minor adjustments will be made to further optimize data collection.
