In early July, Dr. Natasha Picone from the Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (Tandil, Argentina) gave a guest lecture as part of the master colloquium of Climatology and Biogeography. Her presentation, titled “Contributions of Urban Climate and Geographical Information Technologies to the Urban Sustainable Development in Argentina,” offered insights into her research and demonstrated how urban climatology and geographic information technologies can contribute to the sustainable development of mid-sized cities in Argentina.
Throughout the summer semester, Natasha Picone was also actively involved in the work of the Bochum Urban Climate Lab. With her expertise in Local Climate Zones (LCZ), she supported data analyses, contributed to methodological discussions, and shared perspectives from her own research. We sincerely thank Natasha Picone for the successful collaboration and the valuable academic exchange.
