On January 26, 2025, the 5th Children's Environmental Forum took place at the Anneliese Brost Music Forum Ruhr. Under the motto "Let's do something for the environment together!" the Bochum Symphony Orchestra invited children aged 6 to 12 and their families to an interactive experience focused on the topic of climate change. Together with 16 partner organizations, the young participants were playfully taught how we can protect our environment.
The Bochum Urban Climate Lab had a booth on the topic "Heat in the City." The children were able to experience firsthand the effects of climate change and how we can adapt through an experiment on the albedo effect, a memory game on adaptation strategies, and the use of various measuring instruments.
We thank the Bochum Symphony Orchestra for the successful event and are proud to have been part of this important initiative!
