Student/Research Assistant (SHK/WHB) in the field of Earth System Sciences and Geoinformation - with immediate effect

The Institute of Geography at the Ruhr University Bochum has a vacancy for a student assistant (9.5 hours/week) or research assistant (8.5 hours/week) (m/f/d) in the Interdisciplinary Geoinformation Sciences working group under the supervision of Jun.-Prof. Dr. Andreas Rienow, with immediate effect.

Tasks

  • Administration of an interdisciplinary lecture series in the field of Earth System Sciences
  • Support in the organization of international summer schools in the field of Earth System Science
  • Support in the implementation of Living Labs and didactic outreach events
  • Assistance with the preparation of project reports
  • Communication with project partners

Requirements profile

  • Interest in the field of earth system science, interdisciplinary research, geoinformation
  • Independent working style, reliability and ability to work in a team
  • Very good written and oral communication skills in German and English
