We welcome Dr. Benjamin Bechtel, the new chair of climatology. His research focuses in thermal time series analysis for urban climate monitoring, building a global database of form and function of cities and observation of air pollution and urban environments by crowdsourcing. He will take over in march from Prof. Dr. Andreas Pflitsch who worked as temporary chair of climatology.
Wir begrüßen Dr. Benjamin Bechtel, neue Professur für Klimatologie. Seine Forschung konzentriert sich in thermale Zeitreihenanalysen für das Stadtklima Monitoring, den Aufbau einer globalen Datenbank von der Form und Funktion von Städten und die Beobachtung von Luftverschmutzung und städtischen Umgebungen durch crowdsourcing. Er wird die Stelle im März von Prof. Dr. Andreas Pflitsch übernehmen, der die Vertretungsprofessur übernommen hat.
