ReNatUrE: Restoring urban ecosystems for biodiverse, liveable and sustainable cities in Europe

ReNatUrE: Restoring urban ecosystems for biodiverse, liveable and sustainable cities in Europe

The aim of the project is to promote biodiversity and ecosystem services in urban areas through the ecological improvement and enhancement of urban ecosystems in Europe. Therefore, the project will summarise and evaluate different approaches to restore urban ecosystems and identify obstacles and challenges for the respective actors. Practical solutions and strategies will contribute to the ecological optimisation of urban green spaces. The vision of the project is to make our cities and neighbourhoods not only more biodiversity-friendly and sustainable, but also more liveable for people. This research and communication project therefore also includes intensive work with interest groups.
