In July 2026, our colleagues Dr. Simon Mösch and Dr. Jacqueline Hoppenreijs attended the European Congress of Conservation Biology (ECCB) at Leiden University in the Netherlands.

The conference offered many exciting insights into current research in conservation biology, ecology, and biodiversity. Through inspiring talks, symposia, and discussions, researchers from across Europe and beyond exchanged ideas on species conservation, ecological processes, and promoting human–wildlife coexistence across a wide range of habitats.

In addition to the scientific programme, the ECCB provided a great opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, establish new collaborations, and discuss ideas for future research projects. We returned with many new perspectives, valuable connections, and fresh inspiration for our ongoing work.
