Our postdoctoral researcher Dr. Simon Moesch attended the 2025 Annual Meeting of the British Ecological Society in Edinburgh, where he presented results from our research on the management of urban greenspaces. In addition to his own poster presentation, the conference offered many exciting insights into current ecological research. A particular highlight was winning the Macroecology Group’s pub quiz (including an entire quiz round dedicated to Dr. Mösch’s favourite study species: the beaver). Beyond this, Dr. Mösch gained numerous new impulses from talks and discussions, including on ring-necked parakeets in London, whale faeces in the ocean, and sustainable wildlife management.
