Wissenschaftler:innen des Geographischen Instituts bei der EuroCarto 2022 in Wien

Vom 18. bis 21. September luden die TU Wien sowie die International Cartographic Association ein zur Konferenz „EuroCarto 2022“. Etwa 300 Wissenschaftler:innen nahmen an der Tagung teil und gestalteten das Tagungsprogramm mit, u.a. zu aktuellen Fachthemen, wie z.B. Perception and Cognition, Multimedia Cartography, Collaborative Mapping und Virtual Reality. Mit dabei war auch die AG Geomatik des Geographischen Instituts, mit verschiedenen Beiträgen zum Tagungsprogramm. Neben der Leitung eines Workshops in den Computer Labs der TU Wien zum Thema „Introduction to the Visualization of Geospatial Data in Virtual Reality” (Julian Keil & Dennis Edler) und Session-Moderationen durch Frank Dickmann beteiligte sich das Bochumer Team mit drei Vorträgen zu aktuellen Forschungsprojekten: Keil, J., Edler, D., Kuchinke, L., Dickmann, F.
