RUB scientist elected as part of the new executive of the IAUC

RUB scientist Benjamin Bechtel was elected and approved as Secretary of the IAUC. His term starts in August 2022 together with Arianne Middel from Arizona State University as President and Dev Niyogi from the University of Texas as Treasurer. The team will be leading the IAUC for the next four years. The IAUC aims to represent the urban climate community and organises the International Conference on Urban Climatology. Discussion groups on their website on various topics related to urban climatology offer an easy exchange between researchers worldwide. The quarterly newsletter “The Urban Climate News” is freely available for everyone and reports on newest projects and research in urban climatology.
