Der Einfluss von Kartenzeichen auf die kognitive Leistungsfähigkeit beschäftigt Wissenschaftler der AG Geomatik am Geographischen Institut seit mehreren Jahren. Für das aktuelle Projekt „The Effects of Landmarks on Navigation Performance in VGI-based Maps” wurde jüngst ein online-abrufbarer Showcase veröffentlicht, der von Julian Keil verfasst wurde:
