Research Interests

As a soil scientist, I specialize in the fields of soil chemistry and soil mineralogy. I am particularly interested in the interactions between anthropogenic activities and soil functions and processes. The central research topics of the Chair of Soil Science and Soil Resources are:

  1. Soils as regulators in nutrient and carbon cycles
  2. Mineral-organic interactions and transformations in soils
  3. Filtration and buffering capacity of soils for pollutants
