The student demonstrates the ability to independently identify a limited geographical issue within a given time period and to address and present it using simple scientific methods.
When writing the Bachelor's thesis, the candidate must carry out all the processing steps that result from the geographical-scientific task defined in the topic of the thesis.
Students have a right of proposal for the topic and the supervision of the Bachelor thesis. After being heard, the topic proposer names the intended topic. Upon request, the chairperson of the examination board will ensure that a topic for a Bachelor thesis is assigned in good time. However, this means waiving the right of proposal.
The Bachelor thesis must be submitted to the examination office in due time. This includes a written assurance that the work has been written independently, that no sources or aids other than those specified have been used, and that citations have been indicated. Work not handed in on time will be graded with 0 percentage points ("not sufficient").

Usage of the module
The successful completion of the B.A. thesis is a prerequisite for the award of the B.A. certificate.
