Curriculum vitae

Panagiotis Sismanidis is a postdoctoral researcher working on thermal remote sensing. He holds a Diploma in Rural, Surveying, and Geoinformatics Engineering (2012) and a PhD in Engineering (2018) from the National Technical University in Athens (Greece). He has been involved in multidisciplinary research on heat-health applications and building energy demand while at the National Observatory of Athens (Greece). For his PhD research, he has received two grants from the A.G. Leventis Foundation (2016, 2017), one grant from the German Academic Exchange Service (2018) and one award from the European Meteorological Society (2016). His research focuses on Land Surface Temperature and Surface Urban Heat Islands.
