Investigate the mechanisms by which microorganisms convert carbondioxide from decomposing organic matter into energy and biomass. Compare the metabolic strategies of bacteria and protists, with a focus on their roles in nutrient cycling and ecosystem function, within the Project "Relative contribution of Bacteria and protists in biomass degradation" (CRC Project A02)

Study at the University Duisburg-Essen 2019-2025

Student with the Masters-degree in "Water Science" with the work "Relative contributions of bacteria and protists to the microbial loop"

Internship at the University Duisburg-Essen 10/2021-04/2022

Collected data and samples with multiple pHs during the study performed laboratory analyses of samples using Fluorescence, TOC, UV spectrometry, and fluorescent spectrometry, Chromatography (ion, liquid, and gas). DNA extraction and Gel electrophoresis, FISH imaging, and PCR For the project CRC RESIST A01 Data analysis with R software and curated bins using U bin for metagenomic.
