The teaching offerings from the research group range from the fundamentals of soil science to ecological soil functions, floodplain landscapes, and water bodies, as well as landscapes and ecosystems of Central Europe. Study projects and coursework for knowledge transfer also take us into the field, laboratory, and greenhouse.
Are you considering writing your Bachelor's or Master's thesis with a focus on soil science/flowing waters? Topics for theses are usually closely linked to the scientific interests of the research group. Please take a look at previously completed theses, publications, and projects of the lecturers for orientation. Also, read the guide for theses in the Soil Science and Soil Resources research group and check out the template for an exposé (only available in German). It is advisable to have an initial discussion with your thesis supervisors before preparing the exposé. We also welcome your own ideas and would be happy to discuss the possibilities of implementation with you. So feel free to contact us and don't hesitate to approach our lecturers!
