WiSe = Winter semester (1st October - 31st March)

SoSe = Summer semester (1st April - 30th September)

Are you considering writing your Bachelor's or Master's thesis in the field of ecology? Then get in touch with us and don't hesitate to contact one of our lecturers. We are active both as first and second supervisors. Please note, however, that we can only accept a certain number of theses per semester in order to guarantee the quality of supervision. Since winter semester 25/26, we are organizing the Master's colloquium together with the Bochum Urban Climate Lab and the Soil Science and Soil Resources group.

The colloquium takes place on Tuesdays from 4 to 6 pm, but only during the lecture period. There are two types of presentations:

Concept presentation: 15 min. + discussion

Results presentation: 20 min. + discussion

Registration for the colloquia in all disciplines is done by e-mail to chris.kaiser@ruhr-uni-bochum.de.

Up to three presentations can be given per day. Please remember to register early for the presentations on your Master's thesis!
