Claudia Romelli
Claudia Romelli is a research and teaching fellow and PhD candidate at the chair of Environmental Analysis and Planning at the Institute of Geography of the Ruhr University Bochum. She holds a Master's degree in Ecosystem Services from the Technische Universität Dresden and a Bachelor degree in Economics, Politics and Philosophy from the Free University of Bolzano. Claudia has worked as a student research assistant at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences of the TU Dresden on the understanding and analysis of socio-ecological systems. She has also worked for the Interdisciplinary Centre for Ecological and Revitalizing Urban Transformation (IZS) in Görlitz and for EURAC Research in Bolzano (IT), where she was involved in EU-level cooperation projects (REVIVAL!, AlpES).
Her research focuses on the understanding and development of the interactions between human and ecological systems through the use of innovative concepts like ecosystem services and green and blue infrastructure. Claudia works with different knowledge holders and practitioners to design solutions for the sustainable development of metropolitan regions.
