Jingxia Wang

Dr. Jingxia Wang currently acts as a research associate in PLACES lab with a strong focus on the Green Infrastructure Planning and Metropolitan Transformations. She teaches the M.Sc. courses such as Green Infrastructure in Metropolitan Areas.

She holds the Dr. rer. nat. from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), within the dissertation published in the title of "Urban Green Infrastructure Planning: Multifunctional Networks for Sustainable Urban Development". Previously, she did research in the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research - UFZ, Leipzig from 2015-2020 for the Urban Transformations project and worked for Green Infrastructure relevant projects collaborating with TUM from 2016-2020.

Her research interests lie primarily in the trans- and interdisciplinary areas, especially in the fields of landscape and urban ecology, land resources management, landscape planning and management and social-ecological systems research.
